:: Hurricane Watch ::
So it seems that Rita has pretty much come and gone with most of the mainland pretty much unscathed. The worst of it was down in the Keys. Other than some blown over trees and stuff we've been fine and as if the people of South Beach need another reason to go on a bender, this is just another excuse to have a hurricane party.

Me? I've stocked up on emergency supplies (pizza, beer) and some rented movies to ride out the storm, which should be gone by tomorrow.

But the thing that's lingering on my mind right now is that this thing is projected to hit near Houston by Saturday and I can't help but wonder if we're in for another Katrina-type disaster. Let's just hope it weakens by then.
