:: So, How'd you Make Out? ::
"Dan-E! Stop that!"

"What?"

"Just look over here, ok?"

(Smiling) "Sure."

"Oh my God! Dan-E!!! Stop it!"

There’s more to that but let me back up a little, since it’s not what you think. Or maybe it is...

Couple of people from our quarter had birthdays last weekend and we decided to celebrate it Sunday night. It started off innocuously enough at the patio behind their apartment and we enjoyed a nice sunset along with a few bottles of beer.

It got a little rowdy once we got to a restaurant called Taverna Opa. It's a Greek restaurant with something of a party atmosphere in that dancing on the tables before and after your meal is served is not only allowed, but highly encouraged. It's the only place I know where the servers get into it by tossing napkins around like confetti.

So we get there, hang out at the bar for a while waiting for our table to get ready (not easy for a party of 30) and naturally, people either start doing shots or ordering martinis, or both. I take this time to get to acquainted with a couple of the b-day girl's friends, one in particular who starts flirting with me. Partly because of my charm, partly because she’s already a little toasted.

We get shown to our tables and immediately, b-day boy and b-day girl gets up on the table get up on the table and start dancing. Our group being what it is, it's not long before they're joined by few of the girls in our group. I had a front-and-center view of everything and witnesses as well as photos to corroborate this.

People eventually remember that we're at a restaurant that serves food and settle down once dinner arrives. Before this, my only real exposure to Greek food was Daphne's cafe which isn't quite the Taco Bell of Mexican food but the analogy is appropriate. Someone did the ordering for us and everything was excellent. I'll try to expand on this later. The girl who was flirting with me earlier sat next to me during our meal and while we didn't talk much, there's a lot of contact involved... mostly from her since I was starving and focused more on feeding (which says more about me than anything about her).

So after dinner is over, there's more table more drinking, and eventually we migrate back to the bar. It's there that I start up a conversation with... I can't remember her name so I'll call her M since that's what I think her name started with. So M and I start chatting away, more contact, more flirting until a girl named Morgan, a fellow student who I'm good friends with, sees us and decides to snap a photo. M notices and says something along the lines of "if you wanna give her an interesting photo by kissing me right when she's about to take it, feel free."

Being as it she’s a little buzzed and I'm, well, not I figure what the hell and move in. (If an attractive blonde asks you to kiss her, you don't say no.) And to my surprise and for reasons that I can't comprehend Morgan, instead of pressing the button, voices objections towards this.

Morgan: "Dan-E! Stop that!"

Me: "What?"

Morg: "You guys just look over here, ok?"

M: "That was amazing. You should do that again."

Me: (Smiling) "Sure."

Morg: "Oh my God! Dan-E!!! Stop it!"

So after about four attempts she eventually takes the photo but I’m left wondering, why was Morgan trying to stop me? We weren’t the only one in our group making out, it wasn’t jealously on her part since she’s taken, and she knew I was sober... I really don’t know.

So yeah, we weren't the only ones making out at the bar that night and after our all too brief session we take a breather... I can't believe I just typed that... and chat with other people and in my case, get another beer.

I gotta tell ya, even without the making out, it was fun evening.
